WHEREAS, Jefferson County has received a petition (Exhibit "A") to name a private road,
as shown on attached map (Exhibit "B"), either Quilted Maple Lane or Big Leaf Lane or Fallen
Leaf Lane; and
WHEREAS, the petitioner is a property owner on this road; and
WHEREAS, the petitioner wishes to establish this road name, pursuant to the Jefferson
County 911 Emergency Locator System Ordinance Number 2-0401-91, to allow for addressing
along the road; and
WHEREAS, research has shown that there are currently four (4) addresses assigned at
milepost 0.22 right on Wildwood Road; and
WHEREAS, notification was sent to agencies and adjacent property owners; and
WHEREAS, Fire Protection District #2 supports either Big Leaf Lane or Fallen Leaf Lane
and Jeff Com supports all three names; and
WHEREAS, no negative responses were received for the second choice of Big Leaf Lane;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the road be named Big Leaf Lane.
