Property Owner: Catherine Burhen Assessment Year:2023

Date(s)of hearing: 3/19/2024
Having considered the evidence presented by the parties in this appeal,
the Board hereby: XX sustains overrules the determination of the assessor.

Request Determination
Land $ 393,750 $0 $ 393,750
Improvements $ 154,352 $0 $ 154,352
$ 548,102 $0 $ 548,102
Appellant's Argument and Evidence: The Appellant does not feel her assessment reflects the
significant damages to her property. The Appellant has appealed her case to the State Board of
Taxation. The Appellant provided no further evidence to support her appeal.
Assessor's Argument and Evidence: The Assessor's Representative presented five comparable
properties showing the market value of similar properties in the subject neighborhood. Despite the
unique nature of the subject property, the assessment reflects the expected value at which the
property could be purchased or sold for as of 1/1/23.
Decision:After consideration, the Board finds the Appellant did not present the clear, cogent and
convincing evidence necessary to overcome the presumptive correctness of the value established
by the Assessor./ r.The Board of Equalization sustains the value established by the Assessor.
