Order of the JEFFERSON
County Board of Equalization
Property Owner:John and Muriel Gusoskey Assessment Year.2023
Parcel Number(s):701194030 Petition number 23-17-R
Date(s)of hearing:2/13/2024
Having considered the evidence presented by the parties in this appeal,
the Board hereby: XX sustains overrules the determination of the assessor.

Request Determination
Land $ 315,403 $ 306,723 $ 315,403
Improvements $ 713,423 $ 648,566 $ 713,423
$ 1,028,826 $ 955,289 $ 1,028,826
Appellant's Argument and Evidence:The Appellants state that the property has suffered from the
counties' neglect of mandated maintenance of storm water drainage. Further, the Appellants suggest
the appraisal be lowered by the cost of maintaining the drainage which the Appellants had to bear
themselves. No documented evidence was provided to support these claims.
Assessor's Argument and Evidence:The Assessor's Representative presented four comparable
properties showing the market value of similar properties in the subject county. The subject property
is valued at what the property could be purchased or sold for as of 1/1/23.
Decision:After consideration the Board finds the Appellant did not present the clear, cogent and
convincing evidence necessary to overcome the presumptive correctness of the value established
by the Assessor. The Board of Equalization sustains the value established by the Assessor.
