HomeMy WebLinkAbout021 08 cc: 'RM) rg~) 311zlo~ /recw STATE OF WASHINGTON County of Jefferson In the Matter of Designating Members to Serve on the Jefferson County Risk Management Committee } } } RESOLUTION NO. 21-08 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 85-95 on September 18, 1995 establishing Jefferson County's Risk Management Policy; and . WHEREAS, Jefferson County's Risk Management Policy provides for the creation of a Risk Management Committee to process claims for damages filed against Jefferson County and make recommendations to approve or deny such claims; and WHEREAS, Jefferson County's Risk Management Policy states that membership of the Risk Management Committee shall be composed of three members: 1) Risk Coordinator; 2) Risk Manager; and 3) Prosecuting Attorney or Deputy Prosecutor; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED, that the Clerk ofthe Board or designee will serve as the Risk Coordinator; and BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that membership of the Risk Management Committee shall be created as follows: 1) Risk Coordinator (Clerk of the Board or Designee) 2) Risk Manager (County Administrator) 3) Prosecuting Attorney or Deputy Prosecuting Attorney APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of March ,2008. Sullivan, Member J~~ JEFFERSON COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST TO: Board of County Commissioners Frank Gifford, Temporary Interim County Administrator DATE: March 17, 2008 SUBJECT: RESOLUTION re: Designating Members to Serve on the Jefferson County Risk Management Committee STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Jefferson County Risk Management Committee was created with the adoption of Resolution No. 85-95 establishing the Jefferson County Risk Management Policy. The membership for the committee is outlined in the Risk Management Policy and the Board is being asked to adopt a resolution officially designating the members. FISCAL IMPACT: None.
