In the Matter of Designating Members
to Serve on the Jefferson County Risk
Management Committee

RESOLUTION NO. 21-08
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 85-95 on
September 18, 1995 establishing Jefferson County's Risk Management Policy; and .
WHEREAS, Jefferson County's Risk Management Policy provides for the creation of a
Risk Management Committee to process claims for damages filed against Jefferson County and
make recommendations to approve or deny such claims; and
WHEREAS, Jefferson County's Risk Management Policy states that membership of the
Risk Management Committee shall be composed of three members: 1) Risk Coordinator; 2) Risk
Manager; and 3) Prosecuting Attorney or Deputy Prosecutor;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED, that the Clerk ofthe Board or designee will
serve as the Risk Coordinator; and
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that membership of the Risk Management Committee shall
be created as follows:
1) Risk Coordinator (Clerk of the Board or Designee)
2) Risk Manager (County Administrator)
3) Prosecuting Attorney or Deputy Prosecuting Attorney

RESOLUTION re: Designating Members to Serve on the Jefferson County Risk
Management Committee
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
The Jefferson County Risk Management Committee was created with the adoption of Resolution No. 85-95
establishing the Jefferson County Risk Management Policy. The membership for the committee is outlined
in the Risk Management Policy and the Board is being asked to adopt a resolution officially designating the
members.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve a resolution designating members to serve on the Jefferson County Risk Management Committee.
