Questions for Dr Allison Berry:
1. Please advise if the RSV vaccine should be gotten every year or every two years.
We have heard / read both recommendations.
(Quimper Village Senior Cohousing Community’s Health & Safety Team)
2. Is it accurate there will be a monthly report now, through the winter, on first Monday of the month?
3. Is it safe to go dancing, church, movies, work at health facility without a mask?
4. Will Medicare pay for vaccine?
5. I know someone who works in health care. He feels that COVID, at this point, is "no worse than the flu."
I don't believe this to be true; at leas not for people over 65, which I am.
Can you speak to the severity of the illness, should I catch it?
Also, how serious is it for younger people too.
(I also work in health care.)
6. Please explain more about the surprising occurrence of whooping cough here in town.
Do we oldsters need to get an updated DPT vaccination to cover that?
Questions for Willie Bence:
The annual Great Shake Out is on Thursday, October 17th at 10:17 AM.
How is DEM participating in this event?
How can the community participate on that day?
Will there be sirens sounded?
