His bike was turned upside down and his head was down in concentration. I stopped to ask if he needed help. He thanked me for my concern and told me he could handle it. Glen, an avid trail user, lives next to the trail by Robin Hill Park. He has lived there for 55 years and remembers when the trail was a railroad. As a daily cyclist, what he most appreciates, is seeing bike fix it stations. He rides prepared to fix his bike but sometimes needs help. That's when the bike fix it stations, like the one at the Cape George trailhead, come in handy. He told me that seeing bike fix it stations give him confidence. He knows exactly where they are. Trail Funding Awarded The Port Angeles City Council has accepted $3.4 million in grant funding to plan and design four different city trail segments. The funding will be used for both studying and design. They painted picnic tables that another crew of volunteers had fixed. Amenities, like picnic tables and benches, along the trail seem to always need fixing. Their office had a community service day last month. They spent the morning working to clean up and clear along the trail near Morse Creek trailhead.
