Plan for daytime work on US 101 between Blyn and Gardiner Oct. 7-9
SEQUIM – Daytime travelers who use US 101 between Blyn and Gardiner should plan extra travel time.
From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day Monday, Oct. 7, through Wednesday, Oct. 9, Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews will seal cracks in the roadway.
Crews will work on a quarter of a mile section of the road at a time. Work will start at milepost 271 in Blyn and move towards milepost 276 near Gardiner.
What to expect
* Flaggers directing one-way alternating traffic.
* Intermittent stops of up to 10 minutes in each direction.
This work is weather dependent and may be rescheduled.
Whenever near work zones please:
* Slow down – drive the posted speeds, they're there for everyone’s safety.
* Be kind – Workers are out there helping to keep everyone safe and improve the roadways.
* Pay attention – both to workers directing traffic and to fellow travelers.
* Stay Calm – expect delays, leave early or take alternate routes if possible.
