RESOLUTION NO, 44-08
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that East Price Street, County Road No. 667009, from M.P. 0.00 to
M.P. 0.25, be improved as follows:
Construction of road improvements to a 0.25 mile length of East Price Street (E. Price St.l7th Ave.
intersection to E. Price St./5th Ave. intersection). Improvements to include widening and minor
realignment of roadway, installation of drainage facilities, and upgrade of road surface from
gravel to bituminous surfacing (BST). This project will provide engineering, right of way
acquisition, construction engineering, and construction.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that an appropriation from the officially adopted road fund budget and
based on the County Engineer's estimate is hereby made in the amounts and for the purpose shown:

X The construction is to be accomplished by County forces in accordance with R.C.W. 36.77.065 and
WAC. 136.18.

Resolution to Improve East Price Street

Statement of Issue:
The issue is requesting adoption of the resolution creating County Project CR1806 to
improve East Price Street in Irondale.
Analysis/Stratellic Goals/Pros 8: Cons:
This project is item number 8 on the 2008-2013 Six Year Transportation Improvement
Program. The purpose of this project is to make improvements to a 0.25 mile length of
E. Price Street in Irondale. Improvements will include road base upgrades, bituminous
surfacing (BST), and drainage facility installations. This project will provide engineering,
right of way acquisition, construction engineering, and construction. A gravel road
priority system is used to identify projects for surfacing upgrades.
FiscallmpactlCost Benefit Analysis:
The $300,000 estimated cost of this project will be funded from the Jefferson County
Road Fund. This project is included in the 2008 roads budget.
Recommendation:
The attached Resolution is recommended for your adoption. This action is
recommended, as it will allow for design and construction of this project.
The Board is asked to sign the original Resolution where indicated, and return one signed
copy to Public Works (attn. Dale Seward).
