As part of the 2025 Periodic Update, we are developing a new Climate Resilience Element for our Comprehensive Plan. This new element will provide a long-term vision for addressing current and future climate impacts. This planning effort will identify effective and equitable climate actions for us to take. The intent is to make decisions that are consistent with our shared goals for the entire community. Why Participate? Build resilience to climate impacts Protect and conserve resource lands Maintain rural character and protect our natural environment Save money long-term by protecting assets Support healthy, livable communities Encourage a sustainable local economy CLIMATE ELEMENT The new element will identify goals and policies to address climate change and increase resiliency to climate impacts within the County's Comprehensive Plan.
