Research like the work of Marissa Lawson, MD, a radiologist at Fred Hutch Cancer Center and UW Medicine, and her colleagues. After reviewing more than 38,000 cases of women referred for biopsy due to abnormal screening results, Dr. Lawson and her team discovered that Black patients were 30% more likely than white patients to wait more than 90 days for a biopsy.
