October 1, 2024
Present - Greg Brotherton - facilitator, Julia Cochrane - scribe, Gary and Heather - Bayside, Angela - Health Dept., Maggie
Staffing - Heather 16-18 people, 13 men and 3 women, 2/16 were vets.
Having trouble finding appropriate hosts. Florence and Elizabeth … have been good. Still need to find people. Hosts - what does not work - power and control over.., tough love. People
need to see themselves as service to the guest in an equitable role. Good through Saturday. Looking at volunteer monitors. Core group of volunteers who come to one or two training sessions
to help now till Bayside finds enough staff, and to fill in when it's needed. If people know other potential hosts - go to Bayside - Careers - the job opening is there. Or send them
to Heather. Email hr@baysidehousing.org. Volunteers needed starting Sunday.

Donor Kitchen - 17 page application. Right now meals have to be prepared in other kitchens besides the shelter, but the process is happening. It should be fairly straight forward. QUUF
kitchen may be an option - contact Julia (360)821-1926 Met with Amanda Christopherson from County re: food to farm project, $11,000 grant. Shelter staff hopes that someone stays in
the kitchen during the meals. Nitrile gloves - not latex gloves. QUUF - is organizing 2 teams - one who cooks and one who serves, so that people who don’t want to go into the shelter
- can just prepare the meals.
Lunches - asking volunteers to assemble the bagged lunches if they have time. But the supplies will be there.
Michael McCutcheon is bringing tons of food right now - stuff that mostly needs to be cooked.
Lunch meat, chips etc. still needed.
Harm Reduction Training Apple - Anya is building a training - harm reduction.
Health Dept. are providing CoVid tests kits. Send #s needed to Ocean.
Meet again in 2 weeks. October 15th at 11:15 AM hybrid.
