I would like to see additional funding for the Jefferson County Emergency Shelter to cover a staffing increase so the shelter could open at 4 pm instead of 5 pm.
If more employee funding existed, Public Health would schedule the shelter as a regular stop. That needs to happen during their regular hours. That would increase the safety and health
of 26 homeless or other persons served by the shelter.
