Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC)
Special Meeting Minutes August 29, 2024 – 2:00 p.m.
Jefferson County Commissioners Chambers
(Hybrid)
Members: Chair Greg Brotherton, Diana Smeland, Amy Neil, Kevin Wooley and Tara McCauley
Staff: LTAC Clerk Adiel McKnight
CALL TO ORDER: Chair Brotherton called the meeting to order at the appointed time.
Members Wooley and McCauley were present. Member Smeland joined the meeting at 2:04 p.m.
PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: Chair Brotherton called for public comments and no
comments were received.
DISCUSSION re: 2025 RFP Application, timeline and funding amounts: After discussion
Member Smeland moved to approve the RFP as edited. Member McCauley seconded the motion.
Chair Brotherton clarified that the motion is to approve the due date of the RFP application of
October 4, 2024, with the interview date of October 17, 2024, in the amount of $900,000, to be
recommended to the Board of County Commissioners. Members Smeland and McCauley agreed
with the clarification of the motion. The motion carried.
FUTURE MEETING AGENDA ITEMS
• Invite Port Townsend LTAC Committee
CLOSING REMARKS
• Member McCauley will take notes on the RFP process to add to Master Plan document
• Chair thanked the members for attending this meeting on short notice
ADJOURNMENT: Chair Brotherton adjourned the meeting at 2:13 p.m. until the next regular or
special meeting as properly noticed.
