HomeMy WebLinkAbout087 07i0i;do'l Teas In the Matter of: X Naming a Private Road X Meridian Way or X Turtle Lane or X Eagle Song Lane X STATE OF WASHINGTON COUNTY OF JEFFERSON Resolution No. 87 -07 WHEREAS, Jefferson County has received a petition (Exhibit "A ") to name a private road, as shown on attached map (Exhibit "B "), either Meridian Way or Turtle Lane or Eagle Song Lane; and WHEREAS, the petitioner is a property owner on this road; and WHEREAS, the petitioner wishes to establish this road name, pursuant to the Jefferson County 911 Emergency Locator System Ordinance Number 2- 0401 -91, to allow for addressing along the road; and WHEREAS, research has shown that there are currently six (6) addresses assigned at milepost 6.39 right Beaver Valley Rd. (SR19) ; and WHEREAS, notification was sent to agencies and adjacent property owners; and WHEREAS, Fire District #1 supports Meridian Way and JeffCom supports Meridian Way WHEREAS, no negative responses were received for the 1st name choice of Meridian Way; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the road be named Meridian Way. Fischbach, County Administrator From: Frank Gifford, Public Works Director 1611f Agenda Date: October 1, 1007 Subject: Naming a private road Statement of Issue: A property owner has submitted a petition to name a private road giving the following three name choices: Meridian Way, Turtle Ln. and Eagle Song Ln. This road, as shown on Exhibit "B" of the resolution, is located at milepost 6.39 right on Beaver Valley Rd. (SR19), Chimacum. Analysis /Strategic Goals /Pro's It Con's: There are currently six (6) addresses assigned at milepost 6.39 right requiring the road to be named in accordance with the Jefferson County 911 Emergency Locator System Ordinance #2- 0401 -91 (JCC 12.20). Notices were mailed to all adjacent property owners and affected agencies; FD1 and JeffCom 911 support the first name choice of Meridian Way. No other comments were received. Fiscal Impact /Cost Benefit Analysis: None Recommendation: The Department of Public Works recommends that the Board of County Commissioners review the attached exhibits and name the road Meridian Way.
