designated as CR10695. x
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Larry Scott Trail, Railroad Connector segment, County
Log No. 86010, from State Route 20 to the Cape George Trailhead, be improved as follows:
Clearing, grading, placing base, surfacing with crushed gravel, landscaping, signing, and other
work, including improving the crossing at Nelson's Landing Road.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that an appropriation from the officially adopted road fund budget and
based on the County Engineer's estimate is hereby made in the amounts and for the purpose shown:
PURPOSE APPROPRIATION
Engineering $ 19,421
Right of Way Acquisition
Sub -Total $ 19.421
Construction:
Contract S 63,794
Day Labor $ 85,101
TOTAL $ 168316
XX This project is included in the officially adopted annual road program as Item No. 7 .
The project is hereby made a part of the officially adopted annual road program in accordance
with R.C.W. 36.81.130.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that:
XX The construction is to be accomplished by contract in accordance with R.C.W. 36.77.020 et. seq.
XX The construction is to be accomplished by County forces in accordance with R.C.W. 36.77.065
and W.A.C. 136.18.

Subject: Resolution for Larry Scott Trail Railroad Connector
County Project # CR10695
Statement of Issue:
The issue is requesting adoption of the required Resolution creating County Project
CR10695.
Analysis /Strategic Goals /Pros £t Cons:
This project is item number 7 on the 2007 -2012 Six Year Transportation Improvement
program and on the Annual Construction program. The project supports Strategic Goals #1
and #8. The purpose of this project is to provide for clearing, grading, surfacing and other
improvements to the section of Larry Scott Trail from State Route 20 to the Cape George
Trailhead. This project will provide preliminary engineering, construction engineering, and
the actual construction. Right of way was acquired previously for this project.
Fiscal Impact /Cost Benefit Analysis:
The estimated total cost of this project is $168,316. This project is included in the
adopted 2007 roads budget.
Recommendation:
The Board is asked to sign the original Resolution where indicated, and return one signed
copy to Public Works (attn. Valerie Greene), so that the resolution can be published and
the project completed.
