We are aware of conflicting meetings in Quilcene on this date and will be moving ahead optimistically and with the understanding that the Planning Commission will be back in Quilcene in 2025. Again, this meeting will serve as an opportunity for the Planning Commission, our community, and staff to engage and collaborate on our Comprehensive Planning process with a focus on the Climate planning element and growing public participation. While our 10/16 Brinnon Planning Commission meeting was superb, exceeded staff expectations, and proved immensely helpful, we have received excellent and meaningful feedback from multiple sources on how to improve upon our 10/16 Brinnon Planning Commission meeting. Staff will be coordinating with Chairperson Hull to create structure and provide the most fertile meeting environment possible. As an example, staff is hoping to provide a meeting that supports more direct interaction between meeting attendees and the Planning Commissioners, among other improvements. Staff politely asks for your assistance in spreading the word about this meeting and what will be taking place. A promotional flyer for the 11/6 meeting is provided here, please feel free to apply this flyer however you see fit. Joel and I are available to discuss and/or answer questions as we approach this meeting. Attached is your transmitted information for the November 6 Planning Commission meeting: * 10/16 Planning Commission meeting minutes * 11/6 Planning Commission meeting agenda * Final Combined Public Participation Plan * Climate Resilience Handout * Promotional Flyer for 11/6 Planning Commission meeting As always, staff, and your community, appreciates your continued service and dedication to the Jefferson County Planning Commission. Cheers to a great meeting on Wednesday! Thank you, A. George Terry Associate Planner Jefferson County Department of Community Development 621 Sheridan St. Port Townsend, WA 98368 360-379-4486
