I-2117 would repeal Washington's Climate Commitment Act — and have devastating consequences for our state. The Climate Commitment Act is Washington's landmark climate legislation that uses a cap-and-invest program to curb carbon pollution by encouraging companies to transition to clean energy while generating billions of dollars annually for the state to address the climate crisis. These funds have been invested in air and water protection, conservation projects, wildfire prevention, job creation, transportation infrastructure, and more. This initiative is a bad deal for our community, resulting in more toxic air pollution and eliminating funding from projects that protect thousands of acres of forest, salmon habitat, farmland, and more. Please join us in voting NO on I-2117.
