Broadband Deployment for Increased Resiliency and Key Service Delivery in Your Community

The pandemic proved many counties have areas without reasonable access to affordable, reliable, high-speed broadband service. As federal and state leaders try to resolve these issues
by accelerating the deployment of broadband through increased funding opportunities, county leaders must ensure solutions address the essential role broadband plays in the overall resiliency
of its constituents. Households, businesses, and community anchor institutions all need high-capacity internet for access to tele-mental/behavioral/health, remote work, distance learning,
and economic development opportunity.
For this reason, and because the deployment of broadband is so unique to each county in terms of the partnerships and methods of distribution, WSAC established an ad hoc Broadband Advisory
Committee in 2023. Join Committee members for a presentation regarding the BEAD grant process in our state and participate in a roundtable discussion concerning current and pressing
broadband issues. Take this opportunity to ask questions of your WSAC Broadband Advisory Committee members and find out how to bring more information back to your county.
