(Note Consent Agenda or Regular Agenda) (Note Department) JEFFERSON COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST TO: Jefferson County Board of Commissioners THROUGH: John Fischbach, County Administrator FROM: Judi Morris, Treasure;/")IY\ .;.,-. DATE: December 21, 2007 SUBJECT: approved sale minimum bid amount STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Approve sale of manufactured home using a sealed bid due February 12, 2008 ANALYSIS: Environmental Health arranged the purchase of property in a flood plane. A manufactured home is situated on that property and my office has been asked to sell the home. The public hearing is scheduled for Monday January 22, 2008. After the public hearing we will publish a sealed bid sale, due February 12, 2008. After the unsuccessful sale attempt December 13, 2007 the condition of the home has been reviewed and is substantially deteriorated. Mold is present inside the home. The roof leaks and there is an internal water leak. The cost to disassemble and reassemble the unit plus moving to a new home site will cost between $10,000.00 and $15,000.00. The buyer must pay those costs. FISCAL IMPACT: The sale price will help offset the purchase price of the property. Retention of the home will require the county to move the unit. This gets the modular home back n the tax rolls. RECOMMENDATION: Approve the minimum bid for the home at $15,000.00 to be sold by sealed bid. REVIEWED BY: ~ ~.1-' ",,"0 t?
