Do not open attachments or click on links if you are not expecting them. The Quilcene School Board, dominated by four conservatives, will reconsider their LGBTQ+ book ban at their work / study meeting on November 6 at 6 pm. They will focus on two books: "Pink, Blue, and You" and "Sam is my Sister." They may also discuss their policy regarding parental control of what children read. This time, the school district's lawyer will be present. Showing up in person for the meeting is encouraged when possible. Either way, the children of Quilcene need your voice. The location is 294715 US Hwy 101, in the main administrative building's board room. It's across from the Peninsula Grocery store and the biggest building in downtown Quilcene. You must register in advance to attend by Zoom.
