Daytime road work on US 101 in Discovery Bay Nov. 13
DISCOVERY BAY – Travelers who use US 101 in Discovery Bay will want to plan for road work and delays.
From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews will repair guardrail along US 101. During work, flaggers will alternate one-way
traffic between State Route 20 and East Uncas Road.
What to expect:
* Stops up to 10 minutes on US 101.
* Congestion on SR 20 approaching the work zone.
This work is being performed during daylight hours when workers are more easily seen.
Whenever near work zones please:
* Slow down – drive the posted speeds for worker and traveler safety.
* Be kind – workers are out there helping to keep people safe and improve the roadways.
* Pay attention – both to workers directing travelers and surrounding traffic.
* Stay calm – expect delays, leave early or take alternate routes if possible; no meeting or appointment is worth risking someone’s life.
