Jefferson County Public Health is seeking a Clinic Support/Medical Records Clerk (Medical Assistant). Applicants with an interest in working with adolescents are encouraged to apply.
This person supports clinicians in the School-based Health Centers by performing reception and scheduling duties, and medical assistance duties per written protocols. Lab duties include
collecting specimens. Other duties include transporting vaccines and other medications, inventory, and maintenance of exam room supplies. Duties may include contacting clients regarding
normal lab results, follow up appointments, prescription requests/refills, and referrals. Interest in achieving Medical Assistant – Certified (preferred) or Registered.
Minimum qualifications:
Individual needs to be able to perform this job successfully in each essential duty. The requirements are listed on the job description and are representative of the knowledge, skill,
and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1 (one) year experience in medical clinic. Registered or certified Medical Assistant or obtain registration or certification within
one year of hire date.
Hours & Compensation:
This is a UFCW Grade 26 position. Range is $26.66-$31.83 (based on 2025 wages), starting pay typically $26.66/hour, DOE with full benefits, 30 hours per week.
