MINUTES
Special Meeting
September 9,2008
Chairman Phil Johnson called the Special Meeting to order in the presence of Commissioners
John Austin and David W. Sullivan.
County Administrator Interview Panel Orientation: Lynn Stokesbary, Prothman Company,
explained that 40 applicants responded to the County Administrator search. Facilitators will be provided for
the 3 Interview Panels who will talk with the top 5 candidates. He reviewed the interview process and noted
that the County Commissioners will make the final decision.
The Board met in Executive Session from 9:00 a.m. to Noon to interview the County Administrator
candidates which is covered under the exemption as outlined in the Open Public Meetings Act, RCW
42.30.110 (1)(g) regarding hiring/discipline/performance. The Board came out of Executive Session and
recessed for lunch.
The Board met in Executive Session from 1 :00 p.m. to 4:43 p.m. to interview the County
Administrator candidates which is covered under the exemption as outlined in the Open Public Meetings
Act, RCW 42.30.110 (1 )(g) regarding hiring/discipline/performance.
Direction to Prothman Company: After coming out of Executive Session, Commissioner
Austin moved to give Prothman Company direction to get further information on the candidates.
Commissioner Sullivan seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote.
NOTICE OF ADJOURNMENT: Commissioner Sullivan moved to adjourn the Special
