lO:OOa.m. Meeting called to order by Chairman B.G. Brown with all members
present.
Public Hearing: Proposed Road vacation within Kala Point Plat; Kala Point
Company, petitioner. Eng. Becker submitted a letter recommending that the
description be corrected to read "from Division Street in North Irondale to
tne Fort Townsend State Park Boundary", and that said described road right-
of-way be vacated at such time as the replacement road is constructed and
is acceptable to the county. Board concurs - petition denied at this time.
Resolution No. 44-75, declaring a non-debatable emergency to provide 'for a
budget extension to cover Judicial Salary increases, approved and signed by
motion of Commissioner O'Meara and second by Commissioner Mercer. Unanimous
Res. No. 44-75 as follows:
Business from the Engineers Office:
Resolution for C.R.P. 395, to improve Old Fort Road, Co. Rd. No.
4-9.84, by widening: Resolution No.. 45-75 approved and signed by motion
of Commissioner O'Meara and second by Commissioner Mercer, as follows. Unan
Contract with Interstate Asphalt Co. Inc: Contract approved.and
signed as per bid award of June 9, 1975.
Resolution relating to the closing of Old Pleasant Tides access,
Road No. 62-1.12: Resolution No. 46-75 approved and signed by motion. of
Commissioner and seconded by Chairman Brown (in brief absence of Comm. O'Meara)
as follows:
Business from the Planning Dept:
Grant Contract for Shoreline Resource Study: Board approved and
signed Contract No. 305-4 (Phase II) by and between the Dept. of Ecology
and Jefferson County, for a total of $18000, by motion of Commissioner
Mercer and second by Commissioner O'Meara. Unanimous
Corps of Army Engineers Public Notice:
t 1. 071-0YB-I-002257; Robinson, Harold L.; for the construction
of a rock bulkhead (Revised). Chairman Brown signed notice to the Corps
that the county has no objection to the proposed project and that it is
exempt from the Shoreline Act.
'/. 2. . 071-0YB-I-002745, -002746, & -002747; Washington State Parks
and Recreation Commission; to retain existing mooring buoys. Chairman
Brown signed notice to the Corps that work of this nature requires a Shore-
line Management Permit.
Action Reports:
1. Short Subdivision No. S16-75, S.D. Mumby.
2. Short Subdivision No. S14-75, D. Thompson.
Jack Maher, Area Manager, Pope & Talbot, appeared to present plans of
Admiralty No. 2 Plat and to advise of their intentions to extend the marina.
Bill McCoy, from Allied Data, presented copies of their proposal for imple-
mentation of Data Processing Services in the courthouse. They propose
services (one centralized unit) for the Auditor, Treasurer, Assessor, Engin-
eer and Clerk, and to have all services operational eighteen months after
contract award. Estimated total costs to imprelment and process the system
for 1975 - $22,417.26; 1976 - $42,034.04; and Recurring Processing fees
for 1977 - $41,309.04. No action by the Board at this time.
Building permit extensions were granted to JohnJ. Sturm, Brinnon, permit
no 951; and William R. Frazier, Sound View Villa, permit no. 884, by
motion of Commissioner Mercer and second by Chairman Brown. Permits e~tended
for. a one year period.
The minutes of meetings held June 16th and 23rd were approved by motion of
Commissioner O'Meara and second by Commissioner Mercer. Unanimous

The Board counted cash in the Treasurer's Office as per RCW 36.22.010 &
.32.180, and signed Treasurer's Statement of Receipts and Disbursements
from April 1, 1975 through June 30~ 1975 inclusive.
CETA contracts terminated July 1, 1975 were signed by Chairman Brown.
Tile remaining correspondence was reviewed with little or no comment as
follows:
Letters of opposition to the proposed "Hermitage Development" from
Paul J. Codd& Mrs. Fred R. Houghton.
Memo and copies of the proposed extension for County's Mental Health
and Drug Abuse Grant from DSHS (budget revision will be drafted and hearing
notice published) .
Notice from the Office of Community Development re: Extension of
regions Law and Justice Planning Grant & copy of revised Invoice Voucher
and Financial Report Form.
Two notices from Washington State Association of Counties re:
(1) Association dues for 1976; (2) Interagency Committee for Outdoor
Recreation.
Three notices from the Washington State 'Liquor Board re:
(1) License transfer from Robert Francis Nelson and Evalyn Maxine Nelson
d/b/a Half-Way Restaurant, Brinnon, to Vera Pauline Evangelista, under same
trade name; (2) Copy of license, Class BeEF, Discovery Bay Tavern; and
(3) Copy of application for Class D license for Julie Louise Waner, Chevy
Chase Golf Course Restaurant.
Estimated Gas Tax Receipts for 1976, from the State Highway Commis-
sion.
