Meeting called to arder by Chairman B.G. Brown with all members present.
Wayne Mahar, applicant far a Bicentennial Praject jab, appeared ta ask why he had nat
been hired and if he wauld be hired for the next pr:ljects. The Baard explained their
method af rating applicants and that passibly he wauld be hired far :lne af the next pr:ljects.
Melvin Kivley appeared re: Necessity af Treatment Plant Site far Hadlack-Irondale area.
Kivley suggested the formatian af a sewer district as a salutian ta the prablems in the
Chima cum , Hadlack, Tri-cities, and Kala Paint area. After meeting with interested residents
in the area, Kivley praposed thae Jeffersan Callnty be respansible as the agency far farming
the sewer district. The farmatian af a sewer district couId take as lang as 4 to 5 years.
Planner David Cunningham suggested that the federal funds administered thraugh the sta te
cauld be applied for, althaugh Chairman Brown feels with the low priority rating the Cape
Gearge sewer pr:lject received, funding w:luld be d:lubtful. The Cammissi::Jners will further
study the possibilities :If assisting in the farmati::Jn af a sewer district far the area..
Jack Padia, Building Inspectar, appeared re: Set-back Variance far Timberline Canstructi:ln.
Pope & Talb:lt Develapment has agreed to a set-back variance far ccmstruction :If a h:lme an
a drainage easement pDperty line within their plat. Timberline Canstructian will have ta
apply t:l the Cammissi::Jners for a variance.

Mary Norwoad, Clerk, appeared bebre the B:lard re: Purchase af 16 mm micrafilm camera for
her office. Mrs. Narwoad wishes ta purchase the camera far the micrafilming :If caurt
documents. The Boord discussed the possibilty af purchasing a 35 mm camera thus insuring
the integrity of the present system in case af breakdawn. The Baard will check with :lther
countie s regarding the specifications br bid.
