members present.
BUSINESS FROM THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT:
(1) Forest Practice permit application:
FP-02-01232 -Glen Bagley
-Conversion from timber to residential. Moved by Commissioner
Mercer second by Commissioner O'Meara to approve application for
Chairman Brown to sign notice of no objection.

Corp of Engineers permit application:
Department of Natural Resources 071-0YB-I-003505
To harvest hardshell clams from sub-tidal bed of navigable
waters to provide food resources for the general public.
Planning Director Cunningham advised that the proposed
project comes under the jurisdiction of the Shoreline
Management Act and therefore a Shoreline Permit is
necess.ary. Motion by Commissioner!-lercer second by
Comrnissioner-'3 ,>,,__ __:,;_": ~', ~./~ ~ _ --- ,~~'-:~_.,to
advise the Corp' that application has not been made and
the necessary forms are, available in the Planning
Department. Notice to Corp was signed by Chairman Brown.

John. Gatchet:
l-fr. Gatchet appeared to present his short plat for approval.
Moved by Commissioner Mercer second by Commissioner O'Meara
to approve the Plat for Ch~irman Brown to sign.
Moved by Commissioner Mercer second by Commissioner O'Meara to set
property tax judgement sale for Friday, December 3rd at 10:00 A.M.
at the Courthouse. Unanimous.
Public hearing notice for Budget Hearings was approved and signed by
motion of Conooissioner O'Meara second by Commissioner Mercer to be
published for two weeks. Unanimous.

Treasurer Lillian Jacobsen, Assessor Jeff Ingman ,and Bruce Loften,NCR
appeared to discuss Computer programing. ~.The As~essor,and Treasurer
explained that due to the delay in programming they are behind and
need to hire additional help to meet the coming deadlines. The two
officials explained that because of a misunderstanding, programing
was held up for a two week period. Bruce Loften advised that an
outline had been drafted in order to help get the offices back on schedule,.
Loften recommended that a second shift be added on the regular work
schedule, with an additional crew working a seven hour night shift.
The Board concurred and advised the Assessor and Treasurer to
contact employment security in order to hire qualified individuals.
Chairman Brown talked to Mr. Norm Pollack, representative of Teamsters
local #589 by phone and announced that a meeting had been set for
Wednesday, November 24, 1976 at 4:30p.m. to discuss Union Negociations.
Agreement between the Department of Social and Health Services and
Jefferson County was approved by Commissioner Mercer second by
Commissioner O'Meara upon recommendation of Prosecuting Attorney
Bill Howard for Chairman Brown to sign. Unanimous.
