10:00 a.m. Meeting called to order by Chairman Carroll M. Mercer with
all members present.
BUSINESS FROM COUNTY DEPARTMENTS:
Planning re: 1) Final Short Plat of Santy No. 11-78. Commissioner
O'Meara moved to approve and sign final Short Plat
of Santy, Commissioner Brown seconded the motion.
Unanimous.
2) Shoreline Management Substantial Development Permit
Application No. 22-78; J. Merrick. To place 5'2" x
16'6" recreation moorage float in Pleasant Tides Cove.
Mr. & Mrs. J. Merrick appeared. Tom Aumock, Planner
read several letters of opposition and one letter from
Pleasant Tides giving permission. Commissioner Brown
moved to approve a temporary permit for one year as
recommended by Planning Department and review permit
& consider renewal of a full permit at the end of one
year. Commissioner O'Meara seconded the motion.
Unanimous.
3) Plat Report:
Brown Mobile Home Court preliminary plat report.
Commissioner Brown moved to approve with the conditions
the Planning Commission recommended. Commissioner
O'Meara seconded the motion. Unanimous.
Resolution No. 88-78 and Quit Claim Deed re: Conveyance of
Easement for highway purposes; Delhur, Inc. Jefferson County quit claims
to -Delhur, Inc. the County's easement for right of way purposes on and
across the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast
Quarter in Section 20, Township 30 North, Range 1 West, W.m., The East
Half of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter in Section 20,
Township 30 North, Range 1 West, W.M., The Southeast Quarter of the South-
east Quarter of the Southeast Quarter in Section 20, Township 30 north,
Range 1 West, W.M.; Excepting existing roads, easements and rights of
way. Commissioner O'Meara moved to sign the above resolution and quit
claim deed. Commissioner Brown seconded the motion. Unanimous.
Quit Claim Deed re: A strip of land 16.5 feet wide and
1321.5 feet long lying North of Moore Place Addition. Jefferson County
quit claims to the City of Port Townsend the above land. The Board
approved and signed the Quit Claim Deed.

The Board approved and signed the Quit Claim Deed.

Health Services. For the rental of portion of Building #29. Commissioner
O'Meara moved to sign renewal, Commissioner Brown seconded the motion.
Unanimous.

Forest Aldrich appeared before the Board for advise regarding
the road vacation policy. He requested a letter from the Board stating
the policy. The Board gave Mr. Aldrich a letter explaining that if no
public funds have been expended on the streets there will be no charge
for property on which the streets are located. The only charge will be
for andvertising and posting costs.
