Bragg M I NUT E S Week of December 1, 1980 10:00 a.m. Meeting called to order by Chairman A. M. O'Meara, with all members present. Hearing. Proposed budget appropriation for the Sher~ff Depart- ment in the total amount of $12,187.27 to be used to balance var10US cata- gorieswithintheir budget. No one appeared to speak for or against the appropriation. Commissioner Brown moved to approve, Commissioner Mercer seconded the motion. Unanimous. Sheriff Smith was present to explain the need for the appropriations. A resolution will be drafted. Hearing. Proposed budget appropriation for Non-Departmental State Examiner Fund in the amount of $5,350.00 to be used for additional audit costs. No one appeared to speak for or against the appropriation. Commissioner Brown moved to approve, Commissioner Mercer seconded the motion. Unanimous. A resolution will be drafted. Hearing. Proposed budget appropriation for the Multi-Service Centers Maintenance in the amount of $1,569.04 to be used for salary and benefits and will be reimbursed by C.E.T.A. No one appeared to speak for or against the appropriation. Commissioner Brown moved to approve, Commissioner Mercer seconded the motion. Unanimous. A resolution will be drafted. The Board signed two letters to Julia Butler Hansen regarding 1) Reestablishment of tolls on the Lake Washington bridges and the Tacoma Narrows; and 2) Increase gasoline tax to increase the subsidy for the ferries. Bob Harper, Member of the Jefferson County Ferry Advisory Board was present to discuss the two letters. BUSINESS FROM COUNTY DEPARTMENTS: Planning re: 1. Forest Practice Permit Application: a) #FP-02-03437; Hjelvik. Clear cut 5 acres to be converted to a R.V. Park located in Brinnon. Commissioner Mercer moved to sign the notice of no objection and advise that if the applicant does not receive approval for the conversion use or decides not to convert the site within 3 years of timber harvest, the site shall be reforested pursuant to Chapter 222 W.A.C. Commissioner Brown seconded the motion. Unanimous. 2. S.E.P.A. Threshold Determination: a) Phillip R. Boling. The project is to construct additions to an existing dock facility consisting of a pier, ramp, and floats located 2 miles south of Brinnon. The Board reviewed the environmental check list. Commissioner Brown moved to sign the proposed declaration of non-significance, Commissioner Mercer seconded the motion. Unanimous. The Board recessed and reconvened Tuesday, December 2, 1980 to continue regular business and budget hearings. All members were present. The Board recessed and reconvend Wednesday, December 3, 1980 to continue regular business and budget hearings. All members were present. Resolution No. 160-80 re: Order of Budget Appropriation for the Sheriff Budget in the amount of $12,187.27. Hearing was held December 1, 1980. Commissioner Brown moved to approve and sign the resolution, Commis- sioner Mercer seconded the motion. Resolution No. 162-80 re: Order of Budget Appropriation for the Multi-Service Centers Maintenance in the amount of $1,569.04. Hearing was held December 1, 1980. Commissioner Brown moved to approve and sign the resolution, Commissioner Mercer seconded the motion. Unanimous. Minutes. The Board approved and signed the minutes of November 24, 1980. BUSINESS FROM COUNTY DEPARTMENTS: Planning re: 1. The Board approved a leave of absence for Edward Darden from January 1, 1981 through January 31, 1981. The Board recessed and reconvened Thursday, December 4, 1980 to continue regular business and budget hearings. All members were present. The Board recessed and reconvened Friday, December 5, 1980 to continue regular business and budget hearings. Commissioner Brown was not present. Resolution No. 163-80 re: Annual Current Expense Budget for 1981. The Board approved and adopted the Current Expense Budget of Jefferson County and Special Revenue Funds, Jefferson County Road Construction Program for 1981 and set the County Property Tax Levy.
