RESOLUTION NO.
75-08
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Community Development Fund #1430 budget
provides funding for the planning and permitting functions; and,
WHEREAS, the funding for the Community Development Fund relies on grants
and fees and funding from the County General Fund; and,
WHEREAS, the Community Development Fund is in need of a cash transfer
from the General Fund to meet expenditure requirements based on average monthly
expenses and cash flow to cover expenditures.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Jefferson County
Commissioners that the County Treasurer be and is hereby authorized to transfer an
additional $300,000 to bring the cash balance for the Department of Community
Development to a level that will cover expenses through the 2008 budget year.
BE IT FINALL Y RESOL VED, that the disclosure for transfer of such monies
shall be made as an Equity Transfer on the County's Annual Financial Statements.

Description --
A brief description of the agenda item.
This request authorizes the County Treasurer to transfer $300,000 to bring the cash
balance in the Department of Community Development Fund (#1430) to a level that will
allow the department to meet it's financial obligations for the balance of2008.
II.
Issues --
A short outline of the major issues or areas that should be
given particular attention.
Due to decreases in fees and grants the Department of Community Development Fund
(#1430) will not be able to meet the financial obligations. Staffis evaluating options for
addressing this issue for the long term.
III. Action -- What is the nature of the action the Board is being asked to
take (discussion, approval of a contract, support for a grant, etc.).
Approve the resolution.
