Week of
January 4, 1982
Chairman Brown called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. Com-
missioner Mercer was absent due to impassable roads.
Agreement; Public Defender: Commissioner O'Meara moved to
approve and sign this agreement tor indigent services for 1982 and to
have Commissioner Mercer sign the agreement upon his return. Commis-
sioner Brown seconded the motion.
Budget Transfers; Various County Departments: Commissioner
Brown seconded Commissioner O'Meara's motion to approve and sign
Resolution ~o. 1-82 for budget transfers for the Auditor, Elections
and District Court Budgets.
Hearing; Health Department Fee Schedule: Chairman Brown
opened the hearing. No one appeared to speak tor or against, and the
hearing was closed. Commissioner O'Meara made a motion to approve and
sign Ordinance No. 1-82 setting the new fee schedule and amending
Ordinance No. 5-80.--COmmissioner Brown seconded the motion.
Department Fee Schedule: The hearing was

closed. Commissioner O'Meara moved to approve and sign Ordinance No.
2-82 establishing the new fee schedule and amending Ordinance No. 3-74.
Commissioner Brown seconded the motion.
Utilities on County Road Rights-of-Way: Bill Howard and
Gary Rowe presented and discussed resolutions dealing with franchises
on County rights-of-way. Methods of record-keeping were also discussed.
Commissioner O'Meara made a motion to approve and sign Resolution No.
2-82, adopting WAC 136-40, and Resolution No. 3-82, establishing the
ree-schedule for franchises and permits. CommISSroner Brown seconded
the motion.
Approval of Minutes: By motion of Commissioner O'Meara,
seconded by Commissioner Brown, the minutes for the week of December 28,
1981 were approved as corrected, and signed.
Boundary and Annexation Survey: Commissioner O'Meara made
the motion, which Commissioner Brown seconded, to sign the completed
survey requested by the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Contract; Peninsula Fire & Safety: This contract for
delivery and installation at a tire alarm system for the courthouse
was approved and signed per motion of Commissioner O'Meara, seconded
by Commissioner Mercer. Unanimous.
Leases, Multi Services Building: Commissioner O'Meara made
the motion, which Commissioner Mercer seconded, to approve the leases
for office space occupied by the Department of Social and Health
Services and Juvenile Probation and for the Chairman to sign same.
Unanimous.
Prosecuting Attorney's Salary for 1982:
