As we have now entered an open public comment period (12/3/08 - 1/30/09), your comments will be forwarded to the
Planning Commission for their consideration.
Also, to answer your question: see the Summary of Major Changes made since the Revised Committee Working Draft
SMP with the November 18 meeting materials, and the August 5 Meeting Notes both posted online on the Advisorv
Committee page. We're also planning a comparison of existing and proposed code with the Planning Commission next
week.

Michelle,
What changes were made to the SMP working draft as it existed in August? On 9/23 you sent out a message referencing
meeting with Ecology for guidance on the working draft and to seek any suggested changes. On November 14, a meeting
notice was sent out to discuss SMP revisions since August, but those changes weren't specified. When the preliminary
draft for public review was released on 12/3, there wasn't any reference to revisions that were made to the working draft.
Is there a synopsis of the changes, similar to what you sent out on Christmas Eve relative to the final revised Shoreline
Characterization Report?

Hello Interested Parties,
Things are really ramping up with our SMP Update project! Here are some reminders & announcements about
important dates coming up:
· November 18 -Joint STAC & SPAC meeting to review draft SMP revisions since August (1- 5pm at WSU
Extension Spruce Room/Shold Business Park in Port Hadlock; Agenda & materials are posted online;

· December 3 - Preliminary Draft SMP to be released for formal public review (online & public review copies);
Joint informational workshop with Planning Commission & Board of County Commissioners
(6:30pm at WSU Extension Spruce Room/Shold Business Park in Port Hadlock);
Also, a public review copy of the Shoreline Restoration Plan has been provided to the Forks Library to support
involvement of our West End neighbors.
Finally, the Puget Sound Partnership has released their Draft 2020 Action Agenda for Puget Sound recovery. Check it
out online at http://www.psP.wa.gov/
