HiJim,
The Georgia Basin is the northern continuation of the puget Sound in Canadian territory. The Salish Sea is often the
term used to describe the entire saltwater body - Puget Sound and Georgia Basin. I believe this latter term is also
intended to pay homage to the long history of indigenous peoples here in the Pacific Northwest.
