With the assessed values going down on waterfront properties due to the extreme conditions of the proposed Shoreline
Master Program, all property owners in Jefferson County should ve incensed. You see, if the waterfront owners, who
clearly have some of the most valuable property in Jefferson County, no longer have valuable property, their assessed
values will go down. But the costs of County government will continue to go up -- so everyone else will have the burden
of paying the difference. That should not be well received and you in the Planning Commission should take careful note
of this. Barbara Blowers Realtor for 30 years; native of Jefferson County.
