From: ROGER B GILLETTE [mailto:rrngillette@msn.com] Sent: Thursday, January 22, 2009 10: 16 AM To: #Long-Range Planning SubjeCt:: Proposed New Shoreline Regulations I would like to express my opposition to the setbacks proposed for residences, drainfields and driveways. I presently have a home that is less than 150 ft setback on low bank. I'm concerned that if the house burns or when it needs replacing, I will not be able to rebuild and my lot will be of little value. I suggest that the fair and reasonable thing to do is either not change the setback regulation, or grandfather existing properties. As you know waterfront property represents a large investment for owners, and it's value is based on perpituity of use. Considering the state of the national economy today, please don't destroy another american investment. Thanks for your consideration. Roger Gillette 1
