We love this beautiful, pristine water way that is already threatened by excess nitrogen further south. The idea of the industrialization that the new proposed monstrous ship and barge gravel operation is outrageous. There is not only the visual scar it will produce, it is also almost certain that there will be spills of fuel and other pollutants. A final significant threat is the possibility of damage to the Hood Canal Bridge. The current preparation for the scheduled closure of the bridge this year demonstrates the importance of this vital link. The thought of a long closure without the benefit of advance planning is a nightmare. I urge you to make certain that this egregious proposal is rejected. Please do not let Hood Canal go the way of the rest of Puget Sound. RW Maule Lofall, Poulsbo, WA A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above. See yours in just 2 easy stepsl 1/26/2009
