Subject: Shoreline Master Plan
The preliminary draft of the Shoreline Master Plan permits mining activities, including conveyor belts, piers, and
barges on the conservancy shoreline of Hood Canal.
I've been a property owner near the Hood Canal Bridge for over 20 years and considered the Pit to Pier Project iII-
conceived and likely to have many adverse impacts on the area. The draft of the Shoreline Master Plan seems
like it invites other similarly ill-conceived proposals which deny and misrepresent adverse impacts on a fragile
environment.
I do not support the concept in the draft which permits this type of arrangement.
