Subject: Hood Canal
I understand there is a meeting coming up shortly by the Commission to pass a Shoreline Act, for Hood
Canal. I implore you to make the decision based on the ecology for the canal. I would hate to see it
become another Duwamish river. Industrialization of the Canal is the beginning of the end for many
species of sea life that live in the Canal. The amount of jobs created by the pit to pier project and the tax
revenue for the county from this project is practically nil and the cost to clean up the area after the
profits have been made by Fred Hill will be immense. I pray you will stand up and vote your conscience
on this matter and not bow down to pressure and untruths that this project has put out.
