Shoreline Master Plan
I wish to go on record as opposing any plan that allows any m~n~ng activites on the
shorline of Hood Canal or any other shoreline of state-wide significance within the
county's juridiction. I urge the Jefferson County Planning Commision to amend the current
preliminary draft shoreline master plan to prohibit such activities on Hood Canal. I
can't believe we have to keep re-visiting this question. Hood Canal is a state, and I
might even say a national, treasure that must be protected from industrialization by
whatever means necessary. Please do not open the door to such activities.
