Subject: Hood Canal
I live on Hood canal and heard about your position on allowing mining operations on the
shoreline of Hood Canal in Jefferson County. I do not agree with your position and do not
understand why you take this position.
I strongly recommend that you amend the current preliminary draft shoreline master plan to
prohibit mining activities on the shoreline of Hood Canal and any other shoreline of state-wide
significance within the county's jurisdiction.
