TO: Jefferson County Planning Commission:
Amend the current preliminary draft shoreline master plan to prohibit mining activities on the shoreline
of Hood Canal and any other shoreline of state-wide significance within the county's jurisdiction.
Not to do so continues to ruin the shorelines of W A State and denigrate the wildlife dependent on these
shoreline habitats.
This runs contrary to what the State is investing millions of dollars in order to restore and protect the
shorelines and marine habitat.
It makes no sense to act otherwise and to protect private investors rather than life.
