Hood Canal is a treasure that must not be allowed to be damaged even slightly. Ifwe must put a dollar value on everything, think of how tourism would be adversely affected with the inevitable oil spill that will most surely take place not only from ships but the heavy equipment used to build any pier or docking used to support mining operations. Every year I bring a minimum of20 to 30 friends and relatives to the area around Brinnon. All, everyone of them marvel at the beauty of our fragile Hood Canal and it's surrounding peaceful tranquil mountains. Please do not allow developers to persuade you that their projects can be done without environmental damage. The only objective they have is to increase their profit. I pray your objective is to provide future generations a clean, and undamaged Hood Canal.
