Subject: Mining on the Hood Canal
Jefferson County Planning Commission;
Please amend the draft Master Plan for Shorelines in Jefferson County, so that mining does not occur
along the Hood Canal. As you know, the health of the Hood Canal already suffers significantly due to
low oxygen levels in the water. Allowing further mining along the canal is not good stewardship of our
natural resources.
