Current Preliminary Draft Shoreline Management Master Plan
I am writing to ask you to eliminate the inclusion of m~n~ng activities in the current
draft Shoreline Management Plan. There is extensive protest against mining activities
along the shoreline for environmental, aesthetic and property value reasons, as well as
the potential for long waits at the bridge to allow barges to pass through. Everyone is
against it except the gravel pit owners.
