Jefferson County Planning Commission,
In updating your Shoreline Master Plan do not permit "mining activities, including conveyor belts, piers, and
barges on the conservancy shoreline of Hood Canal."
I have lived on Hood Canal for almost 40 years. Please do not spoil its beauty and quiet with conveyor belts, tug
boats and ocean going barges. We have already lost a good share of the marine life. The Hood Canal is just
completing repairs. Don't waste my taxpayer money to fix it after collision with a rock-laden barge. Naval
Subase Bangor is keeping me and my neighbors safe. Please don't do anything to hinder their mission.
