After spending almost $30,000 for our hook up for a new septic system
at Beckett Point, we are hoping to do some remodeling to our cabin.
This had not been allowed for quite a few years because of septic issues at Beckett. It
appears that the new Shoreline Master Plan may quash any hopes for future improvements due
to restrictions that are detrimental to our community. We would like to be on record as
being very opposed to the SMP as it is now written, in particular as it applies to
remodeling on existing lots of record that you now consider "non-conforming". We support
and refer specifically to the items outlined in the letter sent by Beckett Point
Fisherman's Club to the DCD.
