SUbJect: Shore Line Master Plan
I urge you of the Jefferson County Planning Commission to amend the current preliminary
draft shoreline master plan to prohibit mining activities on the shoreline of Hood Canal
and any other shoreline of state-wide significance within the county's jurisdiction. I live
near the shore of the Hood Canal and I find the continuing blight of noise and disruptions
of our view of the mountains brought about by the presence of the Fred Hill Pit very
disturbing. Any expansion of this operation should be prohibited.
