In the interest of preserving the hood canal from negative commercial interests such as commercial shipping and
mining which I view as incompatibal with the current uses like recreation, fishing, both sport and commercial and
tourism predominatly, please ammend the current preliminary draft shoreline master plan to prohibit mining
activities and commercial shipping activity on the shoreline of hood canal and any other shoreline of state-wide
significance within the county's jurisdiction.
