I believe that this should apply to any other shoreline of state-wide significance within Jefferson County. The reason I am requesting this is because I have been a resident of Washington for nearly 40 years. I treasure the non-commercial nature of Hood Canal and am convinced that both its natural beauty and value as salmon habitat are immeasurable. Mining operations would be in conflict with those values. Thank you for your consideration of my request, Helen Kolff 510 35th St. Port Townsend, WA 98368 1/28/2009
