I feel that the Hood Canal shoreline or waters should not be used for mining or any other
harmful activities. No matter how safe our plans are.... eventually something drastic happens and
then it Is not only monumental in cost to repair but also adds to the destruction of the aquatic and
wildlife involved.
The Hood Canal is a wonderful, pristine and unique body of water. It is a delicate resource that
we have been given to enjoy and take care of. Let's try to do that. Please amend the shoreline
master plan draft to prohibit mining along any of the shorelines within Jefferson County.
