Strike mining practices from the Shoreline Master Plan
Hello Planners,
Please consider amending the Shoreline Master Plan by striking the section about mining
practices on the Hood Canal or any other Shorelines of Statewide Significance within
Jefferson County. There was a case of a similar plant like the Fred Hill Pit-To-pier
project on the Hamma Hamma, that ended up not going through.
It is not worth risking the long and short-term health of the waters and shores of the
Hood Canal, which is already in a process of clean-up mostly due to human impact.
